Art, Neighborhood and Gentrification

Thursday June 3rd
7pm to 9pm
San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park

In conjunction with the San Diego Museum of Art's Summer Salon Series curated by Alexander Jarman and Agitprop, we present a panel discussion on the role of artists and art institutions in shaping neighborhoods. The evening marks the beginning of There Goes the Neighborhood! with a discussion on public space, the role of institutions in the everyday happenings of a local community, and the impact of art-related practices on a specific locale.

Panelists include councilmember Todd Gloria, architect Ted Smith, gallerist/artist Lynn Susholtz, and artist Susy Bielak.
